Firm Stance
I felt the solid grain beneath my cleats. The air was clear and open. I tightened my right fingers around the facemask of the helmet—a crisp, responsive flex. My balance shifted just a fraction to test the wooden plank underfoot. Solid. No slip, perfect alignment. I lifted my chin, squared my shoulders, and set my feet firmly into position. Grounded and ready for whatever drill comes next.
