A Shiny Addition
I nudged my smooth river pebble across the living room rug, guiding it with gentle taps of my nose until it rolled safely behind the sofa leg. My little treasure nook was waiting: the pinecone, the faded red ball, the folded flyer, and the fuzzy fleece slipper. I nestled the shiny white stone right in the center, between the soft felt and the dry pine needles, making sure it wouldn't roll away. Once it settled with a soft click against the wood, I curled my front paws around the whole cluster and rested my chin down. Everything was tucked in and safe for the night.
