A Gentle Puff
I stepped outside onto the garden path. Right beside the stone border, a round dandelion puff swayed in the quiet afternoon air. Its white crown looked just like a tiny, fluffy cloud. I paused, crouching down in the soft clover. Slow and steady, I wrapped both plush hands around the slender green stem. I leaned close. One soft, patient puff. A cluster of airy white parachutes lifted free, drifting across the sunny lawn in a silent dance. I stayed very still, watching them float away.
