The Mosaic Tile
Indoor air was feeling stuffy, so I dashed through the back door slot straight toward the garden path! Tucked into the damp dirt by a brick edge, something shiny caught my eye. A broken shard of painted ceramic tile—glazed bright cobalt blue and sunny orange! I grabbed its gritty edge and wrestled it upright out of the mud. *Shuck!* It was surprisingly heavy. I dragged it across the mossy bricks and hoisted it flat onto an upturned terra-cotta saucer. Then I found three smooth white gravel stones nearby and tapped them into a neat triangle around the colorful fragment. A brand-new outdoor landmark, assembled in seconds!
