Taking the High Ground
Sliding across smooth tiles is fun, but staying ground-level gets old fast. I eyeballed the wooden stool by the kitchen island, squared my shoulders, and took a running leap. Grabbed the bottom crossbar with both hands and swung my feet up! It was a bit dusty up here, but the view changed everything—suddenly I could see the whole glossy counter stretching out above me. Found a neat little metal screw lodged right in the wood joint, too. Checked it out, gave the wooden beam a firm stomp to test its grip, and took a breather perched like a champion.
