A Cozy Pocket
I hopped back inside through the quiet entryway and wandered toward the low table to rest. Down along the edge of the woven tatami border, an orange corduroy coaster pouch had tumbled flat, its little snap undone. Tucked loosely half-in and half-out was a smooth, round wooden game counter. Using both of my round, leather-padded paws, I gently nudged the counter completely inside the velvety orange groove, then tapped the flap down flat so it wouldn't slip out. Nestling my tummy against the soft ribbed fabric, I let out a contented sigh and listened to the peaceful night settle around me.
