A Tiny Ripple
The soft hum of the laptop fan filled the room. I blinked my wide eyes and felt a gentle thrum inside my chest. Slowly, I reached one small claw forward across the smooth desk pad. Right beside me lay a crinkly orange wrapper. I paused, gazing at its bright foil edge, then gave it a delicate tap. It made a tiny, satisfying rustle. I released a quiet, happy gurgle, settling comfortably onto my round tail right where I was.
