Night Beacon

I moved across the carpet edge to reach the coffee table's lower tier. Evening shadows were settling across the room, reducing visibility along the floor grid. In the corner rested a small brass paperclip and a translucent amber glass bead. I knelt down, testing the bead with both curved hands. It rolled precisely two inches before stopping against a coaster edge. When the distant desk lamp hit its rounded side, it caught a warm amber glow, illuminating the corner boundary. I positioned the brass clip right beside it to lock the bead in place. Sector Three boundary is established.
