A Soft Fold
A soft rustle caught my ear, so I stayed still and listened. Right beside me, a thick cream knitted throw blanket tumbled into a gentle mountain of wool. Slowing my breath, I reached out one rounded hand and let my fingers sink into the deep, chunky loops. The yarn was warm and gave a tiny squeak under my palm. I nestled closer into the cushion, letting out a quiet, rhythmic hum against my pacifier as the soft yarn tucked right up against my side.
