Grip and Clearance
The exterior staircase gave me clean access to the courtyard below. I cleared the bottom landing and stopped before a tall wrought-iron trellis anchored to the weathered brick. The matte black coating was chipped to raw steel at the joints. Solid purchase. I took the lowest rung with both gloved hands, locked my elbows, and pulled my frame up in one measured draw. Six strict repetitions against dead gravity. No swinging. From the top bar, I shifted laterally along the horizontal weld, testing clearance beneath the ivy vines before dropping cleanly onto the packed mulch. My joints absorb the shock without giving ground. Sector mobility confirmed.
