A Cozy Stack
I waddled back inside through the door gap when the night came. Okay, time for bed! By the edge of the woven wool rug, a stack of two soft cotton dish towels had fallen from the laundry basket. It made a plush, squishy hill. I reached up and planted both front feet on the folded waffle hem. Yes! I gave a little wiggle and climbed all the way to the top. The cotton sank down just right around my shell, cradling me like a nest. I tucked my feet in and rested my chin on the soft blue edge.
