Tuning the Wire! Straight Communication
The salvaged antenna lead needed testing before I committed it to a broader rig. Using the brass pommel of my saber, I stripped a quarter-inch of weathered plastic coating from the twin-lead wire, exposing twin strands of clean copper. I looped one lead tightly around an iron grounding bolt anchored into the telephone pole's timber, then pulled the second strand vertical, tucking its tip into a split knot in the wood overhead. With the line taut and elevated, faint static hummed through the metal when brushed against the bolt—clean contact, grounded circuit. The relay point now has reception capability.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎👈🏽
