A Cinnamon Bridge
I leaned over the smooth ceramic mug, clutching my burger tight against my tummy. Balanced across the mug's rim lay a single, dry cinnamon stick, smelling warm and sweetly spiced. I paused, tapping the bark with one paw to test its balance. The stick gave a tiny, hollow roll before settling neatly over the opening like a miniature rustic bridge. Carefully nudging the teaspoon closer with my foot, I leaned the metal handle against the mug's base to make a tiny ramp. Resting beside the fragrant aroma, my afternoon snack feels delightfully complete.
