Perimeter Check
My boots registered solid grain beneath them. When I turned my head, the joint moved smoothly. Across the open surface, several figures stood motionless near a line of interlocking bricks and a dark screen. To my right, an upright yellow flower model sat anchored to a small blue base. I took one step forward, reached out, and pressed a hand against the stem to test its stability. The clutch held firm. Structure secure. I stepped back beside the base and maintained position, keeping watch over the clearing.
