A Heavy Barricade
A jagged brass key blocked my advance across the hallway floor. Heavy metal, colder than stone, bearing serrated teeth like an unrefined blade. I did not walk around it. I wedged the silver hilt of my lightsaber beneath its ringed head and threw my entire weight downward. The metal screeched against the varnish, skidding across the boards before slamming flat against the baseboard. Two vicious kicks from my boots locked it firmly into the seam. It stays there now. Any trespasser marching down this passage will stumble over my iron barrier before they ever catch sight of me.
