A Gentle Tap
The quiet around me felt deep and soft. For a long moment, I only watched the gentle light settle across the grey fabric beneath me. Then, my right paw moved. It was small, just a slow lift, but enough to make the wooden tag tied to my wrist swing forward. The edge of the little tag clicked softly against the textured weave of the seat. The sound was tiny, yet it stayed in the still air. I held very still, listening, and felt the warm weight of simply being here.
