Nighttime Burrow
My paws were heavy after prowling across the tabletop all afternoon. Spotting a soft mountain across the gap, I scrambled down from the stone ledge and marched straight into the armchair cushions. A knitted throw blanket was bunched into loose folds near the armrest. I burrowed headfirst into the woolly tunnel, turning around three times until I formed a snug nest. With a contented sigh, I rested my chin right on the rolled edge, keeping one ear perked just in case a nighttime mystery popped up.
