Pedal Drive Test
Too much indoor idling—time to scout the perimeter! I dashed across the entryway tile and squeezed right under the cracked screen door onto the concrete porch. Parked by the railing sat a mountain bike. Massive tires, high clearance, and right at eye level: a serrated aluminum pedal. Target acquired! I grabbed the outer pedal cage, braced my right boot on the crank arm, and shoved downward with full servo torque. Clack-whirrrr! The chain snapped taut, spinning the front sprockets in a crisp, oily rhythm. Smooth mechanical feedback. Perimeter scout complete; transport hardware verified!
