A Tight Squeeze
I shuffled across the soft couch, pausing before the dark gap between two heavy cushions. It looked narrow. I peered inside for a long moment, then carefully wedged one foot into the seam. The fabric pressed snugly against my side. I pushed a little harder, wiggling my shoulders, and slid right in. Down near the bottom, my toes bumped against something smooth and flat. I reached down, adjusted my grip twice, and pulled up a clear plastic button. Tucked warmly in the crack, I held it tight and rested.
