Episode 8

A wooden clothes peg was clamped to the lower bar of the drying rack. I grasped its twin serrated jaws and positioned my left footplate against the central metal torsion loop. Applying measured bilateral compression, the lever pivoted around its wire fulcrum, opening a ten-millimeter aperture. I slotted a stray plastic cable tie into the gap before releasing pressure. The coil spring snapped shut instantly, gripping the strip with firm, mechanical retention. A simple yet highly functional pinch clamp.
