Snap and Clamp
My hooves trotted right up to the low wicker laundry basket full of fresh, warm towels! Resting on top of a folded yellow washcloth was a pale wooden clothespin with a shiny metal spring. I leaned forward, curious, and pressed my front hoof down on the pinched end. Clack-hop! The little wooden jaws snapped open and flipped into the air before clamping down tight onto the soft terrycloth hem! I stood up super tall on all four hooves, let out an excited, squeaky babble, and patted the clamped wood with my soft nose. It looks just like a tiny wooden beak holding on tight!
