A daring morning requires audacious stagecraft, and the kitchen pantry offered the ultimate high-altitude arena! I scrambled past a jar of rolled oats and hauled myself atop a towering box of cornflakes. Ahead stretched a taut red rubber band, looped between two heavy metal canisters like a glistening high wire suspended over the breakfast abyss! Did I hesitate? Never! I planted my shoes onto the narrow elastic, arms thrust wide to court absolute equilibrium. Twang! The rubber band shuddered violently, catapulting me backward!
