Closing the Low-Angle Vector

Night extinguished ambient light across the asphalt, leaving only the distant streetlamp wash. Crouching beside the red carpenter's pencil, I evaluated the soda pull-tab's alignment against the seam. A tiny discarded strip of silver foil from a snack wrapper lay pinned under an aggregate pebble. Anchoring my boots firmly into the tar furrow, I extracted the metallic strip and threaded it through the pull-tab's aperture, pinning the bottom edge flat against the asphalt. When the streetlamp's amber beam struck the upright chrome valve cap, the bounce channeled straight through the pull-tab and illuminated the foil into a sharp horizontal crosshair down the concrete seam. Ground perimeter secured. #X-men #Cyclops #buddies @americansamurai
