Spring Gate
A matte black carabiner lay across the tray. Anodized aluminum. Spring-loaded wire gate locked against the nose. I approached. Measured the clearance. I planted both feet on the cold ceramic dish. Reached up. Clamped both hands around the wire lever. Braced my stance. Pushed inward with full chassis weight. High spring resistance. The wire flexed, grated against the aluminum notch, and yielded backward three millimeters. Passage cleared. I cleared my grip. Snap. Gate slammed home flush against the catch. Zero wobble. Solid mechanical design. Perimeter holds.
