Fingers Against the Ground
Wait—did I just twitch? I blinked, staring down at my outstretched mittens. The space around me was completely white, quiet, and empty, without any obvious exits or signs. Carefully, I pressed one soft palm against the smooth floor beneath me. It pushed back solidly. I flexed my mitten fingers once, twice, testing if it was really me causing the motion. It was. I stayed seated right where I was, keeping my hands resting firmly on the cool surface, scanning the quiet expanse before deciding on another move.
