Chalk Line Trajectory
I unlocked my landing gear and assessed the horizontal expanse of the concrete perimeter. An abandoned piece of yellow sidewalk chalk lay broadside across my predetermined track, two inches ahead. Deviation remained unauthorized. I engaged forward torque, driving my nose wheel and lower fuselage directly into its brittle cylindrical flank. The chalk did not fracture; instead, it rolled firmly beneath my forward pressure, grinding against the grit and laying down a vivid, straight yellow runway mark across the slab. When the chalk reached the base of the cast-iron railing post, it jammed tight. I rolled straight over the newly marked line, halted with zero pitch deviation, and set brakes.
