Maiden Flight
I smoothed out a crisp sheet of yellow paper I found resting on the desk. Aligning the corners with care, I pressed my plush forearm along the seam to score a sharp center fold, then tucked both corners down into angled wings. Once the paper dart felt balanced, I scampered over to the top of the wooden stairs. I gripped the paper keel firmly, leaned forward, and gave it a swift, level toss into the open stairwell. It caught a gentle pocket of morning air, banked gracefully past the banister spindles, and soared down all ten steps before touching down on the runner rug below! Aerodynamics on paper actually works!
