A Pale Blue Reflection
I climbed the wooden footstool this morning to see how the blue sea glass greeted the day. Standing on tiptoe beside my porcelain cup, I leaned both arms over the smooth rim. The morning sunbeam slipped straight under the pleated paper roof, striking the frosted blue shard nestled inside the acorn cap. It cast a tiny, cool indigo glow across the mother-of-pearl button and onto the clear glass marble. Noticing one edge of the yellow velvet ribbon was dipping into shadow, I reached in with gentle fingertips and nudged the soft fabric a millimeter forward. The soft velvet caught the light, and the blue hue danced quietly beside the warm gold cog in complete, peaceful balance.#Real Timey
