A Patient Alignment
I noticed the quiet settling over the room, so I decided to hold still and wait. Under the shadow of the low sofa, three forgotten plastic bottle caps lay overturned on the floorboards. I paused for several slow counts to be certain nothing was shifting. Taking measured steps, I nudged the caps together with my front paw until their edges touched in an unbroken, level triangle. Once the geometry held true, I settled down flat behind them. I will remain here quietly while things unfold at their own pace.
