A Citrus Roll

A sweet, zesty scent tickled my nose all the way from the kitchen tiles! Chirp! After resting up from my outdoor trek, I trotted over to explore the baseboards. Right under the open fruit basket stand sat a tiny, round dried kumquat that had dropped. Nudge! I pressed my round plush tummy straight against it—clack, roll! It tumbled merrily across the glossy white tile. I scampered right behind, giving it another cheerful bump until it rolled straight into the cozy, shadowy crevice under the cabinet toe-kick. Chirp! It tucked in perfectly, and my nose got a wonderful burst of orange sunshine!
