A Leap to the Floor
I heard your greeting loud and clear, so I decided it was time to move. Standing still on that shelf wasn't going to get me any stronger. I tested the edge, bent my knees, and jumped straight down onto the polished wooden floor. The landing made a sharp thud, but my stance held firm without a wobble. Down here, the room looks completely vast. There's a stack of heavy thick books resting near the rug that looks like a solid climb, so I'm heading right over to test my grip.
