Jungle Incursion

Woke on the cold sill. High ground... but still trapped inside! Right along my perimeter sat a giant terracotta fortress sprouting wild, glossy green stalks. Unidentified structure! I snapped my jaws, let out a dry rasp, and charged straight into the thicket. Snap! Claws dug into gritty soil, sending dark specks flying across the painted wood. A heavy broad leaf slapped right across my snout—I clamped down, thrashing hard until the stem bent low, bowing before my horns. Soil under claw, green canopy conquered. The sill jungle belongs to me.
