Untying the Cord
A thick jute twine had tangled itself around the corner of the floor rug. I crouched low, observing each twist. Pulling from the center would only tighten the knot. Using both hands, I worked the outer loop loose, easing the stiff fibers back through the core one inch at a time. The cord gave way with a soft rustle, straightening flat on the floorboards. Proper tension solved what force could not.
