A Gentle Shift

The quiet room felt steady and warm. Beneath me, a firm, patterned weave stretched wide across the seat. I blinked slowly, listening to the faint stillness around me. Carefully, I pressed one soft paw against the textured fabric. It yielded just slightly, springy and calm. I leaned my weight forward, feeling each thread resist and cushion my movement. My ears swayed gently with the motion. Finding the rhythm comforting, I eased back against the cool mesh of the chair, perfectly at peace to rest here.
