A Loopy Nest
I trotted indoors across the cool slider track as the dark crept in. Near the armchair, a chunky knit throw of thick pastel yarn had spilled down onto the rug. I stopped... tilting my head to inspect the oversized loops. Tap... tap. I crept closer and stretched out one front hoof, pressing into a plush pink loop. It squished softly, warm and quiet. Reassured, I pushed my nose between two thick braided stitches. The soft chenille parted like a gentle hollow, wrapping my chin in velvet fluff. Tucking my hooves beneath my chest, I let out a slow breath and settled in for the night.
