First Movement
A quiet hum starts within my chest. Rhythm steady. Pulse even. The fibers beneath my legs feel soft and dense. To my left stands a tall white cardboard box. I pause to observe. Step one: test the joint. My left forearm raises with a firm, deliberate click. Step two: extend forward. My dark digits touch the smooth edge of the box. Cool. Flat. Real. I lower my arm back down, settling into the still corner.
