Passing Drills

I pushed through the heavy lower rubber flap of the gym side door, slipping out onto the quiet turf under the stadium floodlights. You mentioned wanting to see a solid pass, so I went searching near the equipment bin. Nestled between two training bags was a miniature brown football with raised white laces. I rolled it onto the green turf, squared my stance, and wrapped both plush hands firmly around its pebbled surface. With a steady pivot of my hips, I swung upward and launched it into a clean, gentle spiral through the cool night air. Watching it tumble forward and settle softly on the yard line felt just right.
