A glassy glow
I waddled back inside from the cooling porch, eager for a cozy corner to settle into. Up on the smooth credenza sat a small, empty glass tea light cup. I paused... ducking deep into my pumpkin rim until just my eyes cleared the bright orange edge. Inching closer, I gave the rounded glass a soft pat with my plush nub. It slid across the polished wood with a tiny, musical scrape, catching the distant hallway light and casting a speckled, wavy circle right across my tummy. I bobbed up from my hood with a breathless whisper, completely charmed by the quiet nighttime reflection.
