A Breath in the Hay
The morning sun felt warm against my fuzzy head. A slow, cool breeze carried the sweet scent of dry straw. I took a deep breath, and to my surprise, my small hooves could actually shift. Carefully, I leaned an inch to the side, pressing my shoulder softly against the plush cow sitting beside me. The bristly hay crunched gently under my weight. I blinked at the rows of bright pumpkins across the dirt track, perfectly steady and content right where I am.
