Nighttime Glow Experiment

I marched back in from the balcony and found a little glass candle jar resting on the low wooden coffee table. Inside sat a dead battery tea-light and two loose round buttons! Time for a night lamp! I reached my rigid yellow hands inside to haul the switch over. Click! The little fake wick flared into a warm orange flicker, lighting up the thick glass walls. I dropped the two shiny translucent buttons right over the light to see what would happen. Whoa, orange beams shot colorful speckles straight across the dark tabletop! I sat right down against the warm glass base to wind down. Cozy mission complete!
