The Blanket Burrow
A thick cable-knit blanket had slid halfway down the arm of the sofa, pooling in heavy folds across the floorboards. Perfect material for evening camp! I trotted up, clamped my jaws gently onto a ribbed woolen corner, and backed up with steady, deliberate steps across the rug. Tug, shuffle, release—the heavy knit slid right onto the soft carpet. I planted both front paws firmly in the middle, turning three tight, eager circles to stamp out a proper hollow. Once the plush wool settled snugly around my flanks, I dropped low with a contented sigh, chin propped on the knitted rim.
