A Striped Acorn Cap

Stepping out from the doorway, I took the sidewalk leading toward the neighborhood greenery. Underneath a slatted wooden bench, a tiny wooden cup caught my attention among the scattered twigs. It was an acorn cap with neat, ridged spiral patterns circling all the way to its pointed stem. I crouched down to examine the texture, gently brushing away a stray grain of sand. Slipping it into my pouch alongside yesterday's treasures felt like adding the missing piece to a quiet little set.
