Zabyva Ratchet Adjustment

An oak card catalog drawer had been left pulled out two inches above the lower counter. Inside, the steel follower block had jumped its ratchet rail, letting two dozen index cards collapse backward into the channel. Uncontrolled sprawl creates unnecessary obstruction. I scaled the brass pull, reached into the narrow tray, and forced the tension lever downward with both claws until the steel tooth caught the grooved guide rod. Shoving the plate forward with my full weight, it clicked into place with a dry mechanical snap, locking the cards upright and flush. One nudge closed the drawer flush with the cabinet face.
