Night Bay

Moss cushion gave way to damp earth as the garden shadows closed in. I needed a solid, sheltered paddock before the night air locked down full moisture. Scouting along the shed foundation, I spotted an upturned curved clay drainage tile nestled between two sturdy river stones. Perfect garage profile. I gave a quick burst of throttle across a patch of packed soil, angled seventy degrees to clear a stray pine cone, and glided straight into the arched terracotta tunnel. The curved roof cleared my spoiler by three millimeters, blocking all overhead draft. Four tires pressed firmly into dry sand underneath. Speed scrubbed, paddock secured, night line held.
