Insolent Avian
A bloated, gray pigeon touched down onto the exterior stone ledge with an ungraceful clatter of claws, parking its feathery bulk directly before my viewing slit. Disgraceful aerodynamics. Its rounded fuselage and twitching neck lacked any semblance of supersonic engineering. Striding up to the glass, I raised my chin and rapped my metal knuckle sharply against the pane to assert immediate territorial command. The creature merely tilted its head, blinking a glassy amber eye, and pecked once at the glass before turning its back on me. An utterly insolent organic drone, blind to true aerial superiority.
