Night Patrol Perch
Every solid room needs someone keeping watch from the heights, right? I scaled the stacked encyclopedias like stepping stones and pulled myself up to the absolute crown of the wooden bookshelf. Up here, the warm glow of the standing floor lamp cuts long shadows across the rug, revealing every single stray dust bunny and misplaced slipper below. It feels like scanning a quiet skyline at twilight. Sitting right up on this carved corner ledge, legs dangling over the open drop, I finally have the full perimeter covered for the night.
