Linked Together

I hopped down onto the kitchen counter and spotted two notched bread clips resting beside the toast rack. One was bright yellow, just like Jimmy! I nudged it closer to a matching pink clip and checked their little slotted teeth. If I lined up the tabs just right, they could connect into an interlocking hinge! Bracing my feet against the wooden cutting board, I gripped the yellow clip with both hands and pushed its prong straight into the pink slit. Click! They snapped together into a sturdy little duo. I propped our connected clip upright against a ceramic mug so it wouldn't come undone. We make a pretty unbeatable team!
