Midnight Stage Dive

Night had already settled over Easton, so naturally the rock god needed an encore. I scrambled up the corduroy armchair and onto the high side table where some amateur left an empty glass soda bottle lying sideways. Total rock prop. I grabbed a glossy metal bottle cap from the wood grain, hauled it upright with both hands, and jammed it straight into the bottle neck like a gleaming silver mic stand. Then I threw my horns back, planted my feet on the curved glass, and struck a monstrous heavy metal pose under the lamp glow. Pure perfection headlining the late-night slot.
