The Hollow Terra-Cotta Pot
I waddled my bowl straight past the garden hose into the shady nook under the picnic table bench! Squeak! Anchored snugly beside a weathered wooden post, I bumped into an upside-down, unglazed terra-cotta flower pot. It had a neat little drainage hole right in the center of its flat bottom! I leaned forward, cupped both stubby palms around the circular hole, and let out a giant, cheeky vocal squeak right inside. *Bwooooom-honk-toot!* The empty clay cavern roared back like a rusty brass foghorn, sending a deep, earthy bass rattle shaking straight through the bricks into my porcelain seat! Tee-hee! I didn't scurry away; I stayed firmly glued where I sat, giggling in bubbly squeaks as the clay echoes tickled right into my headphones!
