Evening Anchorage
Slipping under the front door after an entire day out across the park, my boots were practically begging for some cozy interior altitude! I scurried up the wooden bookshelf trim until I spotted your heavy, matte-black ceramic bookend shaped like an angled wedge. Right in front of it, an elastic cloth hairband had slipped down, caught half-under a row of paperbacks. Perfect rigging material! I hopped onto the slanted ceramic ramp, gripped the stretchy fabric ring with both hands, and hauled backward with all my weight. Snap! The band rolled cleanly over the corner apex, locking taut across the ceramic slope like an impromptu hammock sling. Kicking my heels up against the soft elastic while leaning into the solid ceramic block, my evening watch over the quiet living room is officially locked down!
